Kempinski hotel is coming in Block 11 at the place of former Jugoslavija hotel - construction of two towers, 140 meters high enabled
High category hotel of the Kempinski chain, with two towers with a number of floors as a part of residential and business complex should be built at Block 11 in Zemun, it was comprised with the Detailed regulation plan adopted today by the City Assembly.
Detailed regulation plan of Block 11, comprises an area of former Jugoslavija hotel, a space between Bulevar Nikola Tesla, Kej oslobodjenja and Goce Delceva and Aleksinackih rudara in Zemun.
The area where a high category Kempinski hotel will be built, with two towers and a number of floors as a part of residential and business complex, is out of the zone of center of Zemun and Novi Beograd within urban unit known as "Prvobitni Novi Beograd".
When it was built in 1960, Jugoslavija hotel was the biggest and the most modern in former SFRY with 1.500 offices, two restaurants and additional facilities. The existing facility of the hotel will be completely renovated and modernized with allowed number of floors up to eight, i.e. 36 meters.
North tower, with maximal floor of P+33, i.e. 140 m of height, in Goce Delceva, is planned for business and commercial facilities and the South tower with the same number of floors in Aleksinackih rudara is planned for residential units of high standard. The plan comprises maintenance of all green areas as well as construction of additional third pedestrian and cycling path.
