New tourist facilities at the Danube - Reconstruction of marine and beach complex in Golubac

Citizens of Golubac will soon get rehabilitated marina and developed beach which will be equipped with additional sports and recreation facilities, swimming pools, cafes and shower cabins, it was planned within the Urban project developed by Arandjelovac-based "Arhiplan".

It was planned that the existing marina at the entrance at Golubac is developed so that its capacity would increase to 100 vessels and that within the complex of beach, a yachting club gets another facility.

In line with the Detailed regulation plan of Golubac, development of the project was planned in two implementation stages, Department for urbanism and construction, utility, inspection and property and legal affairs of Municipal administration of Golubac said for eKapija.

The first stage comprises reconstruction of a marine and construction of new wave defense facility. The second stage comprises administration facility of marine (365 m2) with parking, a new facility within yachting club (161 m2), as well as a beach with planned facilities. Parking with the access to Cara Dusana street will have 11 parking places.

With backfilling of already existing city beach, its expansion and equipping of sports and recreation and entertainment facilities is planned on ground area as well as easy chairs and umbrellas in the part of extension. The beach will have a sand volley ball court, swimming pools for kids, shower cabins and green area.

Apart from pedestrian path, the complex should also get a cycling and pedestrian path which will extend from the tourist settlement Vinci-Usije to "Golubacki grad" fortress. This path is one of the sections of the "EuroVelo Route 6", which was planned as European, cycling route, from France to Romania.

The central complex part was planned for yachting club. There, apart from the existing facility, construction of another facility with facilities for club members is planned.

Marine zone which is partially reconstructed in the ground and in the area of the Danube occupies 1,67 ha. Yachting club zone occupies 0,14 ha, zone of city beach some 1,46 ha, and zone of cycling and pedestrian path some 0,25 ha.

The request for confirmation of the Urban project was submitted by the municipal administration of the Golubac municipality and the project implementation will start after the approval of the Commission for plans and local development.
