Famous hotel in Avala under hammer
Tourist-catering company, Avala, decided to sell the Avala hotel and the Lipovica restaurant.
The Avala hotel, at the Avala mountain not far away from Belgrade, was built in 1928 upon the request of the King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic and for the needs of the Ministry of Forestry and water engineering of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
The facility was designed by Russian architect, Viktor Lukomski. Many national important events are related to this facility. One of them dates back in 1929, when from today’s hotel parking the first skiing competition was held in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
The Avala hote is listed as the important property of the city architecture of the City of Belgrade and is one of the sights of Avala.
