A valuable donation, worth RSD 2,242,812 was given to the Clinical and Hospital Center (KBC) Dr Dragisa Misovic Dedinje by the Embassy of Germany today. The embassy joined the B92 Fund in fighting the coronavirus pandemic by providing the funds for the procurement of 13 infusion pumps.
When it comes to medical equipment, these are some of the most demanded pumps, and they are used for the infusion of liquids, medicines and nutrients into the patient's circulatory system, as well as for precise dosage of medicines through IV infusion.
The Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Thomas Schieb, and the chairman of the Executive Board of the B92 Fund, Veran Matic, visited KBC Dr Dragisa Misovic to hand out this valuable donation.
– We are glad that we are able to help our neighbor KBC Dr Dragisa Misovic Dedinje, located right next to the Embassy of Germany. As neighbors, we want to give contribution and support the vital operations of the hospital and its medical staff in fighting coronavirus – Schieb said during the visit.
The B92 Fund and the Serbian Philanthropic Forum have taken active part in supporting the healthcare system of Serbia since the beginning of the pandemic, in cooperation with numerous socially responsible companies and organizations.
– We are glad that the Embassy of Germany has joined the Serbian Philanthropic Forum and the B92 Fund, as we are already cooperating successfully with the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the companies coming from that country, from STADA-Hemofarm, through Draeger and others. I believe that this cooperation will be expanded as well and that there will be more systemic support to our healthcare system. We already have projects which would bring great benefits in the long run as well – Matic, who is also the director of the Serbian Philanthropic Forum, stated on this occasion.
Representatives of the Embassy of Germany and the B92 Fund were welcomed by the director of KBC Dr Dragisa Misovic, Vladimir Djukic, and Djordje Lalosevic, who expressed their gratitude on behalf of this hospital center.
– We thank the Embassy of Germany and the B92 Fund for this very valuable donation, which will help our medical staff, especially anesthesiologists, to a great extent. Thank you for being with us in these difficult times – Djukic said.
