Walt Bogdanic - a New York Times journalist, laureate of three Pulitzer awards
A New York Times journalist, the laureate of three Pulitzer awards for journalism. He won the first Pulitzer award as a Wall Street Journal reporter in 1988 for the research on illegal medical laboratories in the USA. His colleagues call him Walt and very few people know he is a Serb. "I come from an old Serbian colony in Chicago. My father is a Serb from Serbia who worked in a steel-works as an emigrant", says Bogdanić. Bogdanić is the third Serb who won the Pulitzer award, after Mihajlo Pupin and writer Charles Simić.
