(Jelica Stamenkovic) The company for professional rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities Buducnost Pet was launched in Jagodina in 2017. In under a year, they’ve employed 30 workers, and the plan is to soon hire 300 people.
Jelica Stamenkovic, director of Buducnost Pet, says in her interview for eKapija that the company’s main goal is to provide help to persons with disabilities by employing them and making them capable of providing services in the field they operate in.
On January 25, 2018, the first Exhibit of Works of Persons with Disabilities was held in Jagodina, organized by Buducnost Pet in line with its mission and concept of corporate responsibility, in cooperation with the National Organization of Persons with Disabilities of Serbia.
eKapija: How did you get the idea to found the company Buducnost Pet?
– Above all, the wonderful experience in working with persons with disabilities, and then also a high level of social responsibility we have, are some of the reasons for us coming to the idea to found a company for professional rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
eKapija: What is the man portfolio of Buducnost Pet? How much demand is there for your services?
– Buducnost Pet provides services in the fields of facility management, beginning with the services of hygiene maintenance – daily cleaning and maintenance of all kinds of premises, post-construction cleaning, industrial cleaning and many other cleaning services. Furthermore, there’s also lawn-mowing, horticulture, as well as the design and establishment of new plantations, mechanical unplugging and surveying of sewer pipes, as well as technical maintenance. We also provide the services of finishing works in construction, that is, full architectural finishing works, low and high voltage electrical installations, water supply and sewer systems, as well as mechanical installations. The demand for the services our company provides is growing year by year, because, as we can see, a lot has been invested in Serbia in the past years in the field of construction, both in the construction of new structures and the numerous reconstructions and adaptations of existing office buildings.
eKapija: What are your preferred clients?
– The list of our clients includes primarily companies from the private sector, and pubic companies are present to a lesser extent. We are market-oriented and open to cooperation with investors requiring our services.
eKapija: You are one of the rare private companies for professional rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. What are your experiences with helping those workers get hired?
– We have wonderful experiences with cooperating with persons with disabilities, as they work hard to make up for congenital or acquired impairments, and seeing how we provide a wide range of services, we are able to directly adjust their labor engagement to their abilities, that is to the degree of their disability.
eKapija: How many people are employed at your company? What is your employment plan?
– There are 30 employees at Buducnost Pet, and we plan to increase the number to 300.
eKapija: You organized the first Exhibit of Works of Persons with Disabilities from the Pomoravlje District. How do you rate the results?
– The main goal of the exhibit was to enhance awareness of the importance of boosting social inclusion and increasing the quality of life for persons with disabilities, as well as to promote their creative effort, and I believe that we managed to do so. There were around 12 associations at the fair, and the most successful among them were awarded with gift vouchers.
eKapija: What are your plans for this business year?
– Our company was founded to the end of providing help to persons with disabilities by employing them and enabling them to provide services in the fields we operate in. Accordingly, we plan to penetrate markets through new projects, in order to realize our initial goal. We expect our reference list to expand through the introduction of a large number of new clients. We hope for a successful realization of the targeted goals in this business year.
