Diane Cromer is a successful business owner, strategic communications specialist and organizational development consultant with more than 25 years of experience in the US and abroad, with 12 years experience in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in Serbia. In CEE she offers services through her company – Cromer Group.

Ms. Cromer uses science-based communications expertise with her experience as a former journalist and business and government public relations specialist to help her clients solve complex business and policy problems.

In the US, Ms. Cromer has worked with three Senators, 13 members of Congress, JBF Financial Service of Pennsylvania, and American Medical Association. For Core States Bank and Bausch & Lomb she worked on market research for the launch of new product, she advised the chain of discount retails TJ Maxx on new locations, for New Jersey Medical Insurance Company she did market repositioning, and rebranding for United Way of Pennsylvania.

One of the biggest projects that Diane has managed was work with the US Department of Defense Human Resource Management Department between 2005 and 2007 on the restructuring of civil work force. The task was to introduce the new organizational structure for 750,000 civil employees through Human Resources department as well as to introduce the new budget system.

In 1999/2000, Ms. Cromer worked with leaders of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS) as a political consultant within the National Democratic Institute’s (NDI) political program. After the democratic changes she continued intensive work with Prime Minister Zoran Djindjić and numerous ministries of his Government in the fields of internal organization, managing human resources, communications, and strategic planning.

With IBM Business Consultant Group, Diane managed strategies for acceptance of key economic reform principles, including small and medium enterprise development, privatization, and anti-monopoly measures. She had overseen seminars for SMEs in 10 Serbian towns and cities.

Diane started her career as a TV reporter. While only 23 years old, she was the only woman to travel on the Presidential bus covering the reelection campaign of former President Gerald Ford.

She has taught at the Yale University’s Campaign School for Women and the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on communications and presentation techniques, where she taught MBA students communications organization, public appearance and presentation.

Diane Comer was recognized in 1990 in Who’s Who of Women Executives, named a “Rising Star” by Campaigns and Elections Magazine in 1998, and was a 1999 recipient of a Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Business award.
