Construction of New Hisense Europe Facility in Valjevo Worth EUR 40 Million Begins – Jobs for Another 1,000 Workers

The Hisense corporation will invest more than EUR 40 million in the new facility for the production of state-of-the-art cooling devices in Valjevo. The new factory Valjevo 3 will produce cooling devices of the Hisense, Gorenje and Asko brands, primarily to be exported to demanding European markets. The completion of the works and the opening of the factory are planned for February 2023.

Gorenje already employs more than 1,600 workers in Valjevo, and the beginning of the operations of the new factory will mean the hiring of another 1,000 employees over the next three years, says the press release of the company Hisense Europe.

The factory is being built next to the existing factory location on an area of 45,000 m2, where a modern production hall of 30,000 m2, warehouses and a restaurant for the employees will be located.

The planned production at the new factory will amount to 750 thousand side-by-side devices a year, whereas the total production at all three facilities of Hisense Gorenje Valjevo will amount to 1.7 million devices a year by 2025.
