Kuwaiti tanks "M-84" under "magnifiers" of Serbian experts?

- The companies from the group of the Defensive Industry of Serbia and technical-repair institutes are interested in repair and modernization of tanks "M-84", which used to be sold to Kuwait at the beginning of the 1990’s – the Ministry of Defense announced.

- Tanks "M-84" were then among the most modern in the world and they were produced jointly by several companies from ex-SFRY, several of which were from Croatia. Up till now, no official contacts have been made with the Croatian companies that worked on the production of tanks “M-84” –the Ministry of Defense stated.

Along with the factories from Kragujevac, the group of the Defensive Industry of Serbia includes "Prvi partizan" in Užice, "Prva iskra" Barič, "Milan Blagojević" in Lučani, "Sloboda" Čačak and Holding company "Krušik" in Valjevo.

According to certain information, the modernization of about 150 tanks "M-84" AB for Kuwait in Croatian company "Đuro Đjaković" creates possibility for construction of new tanks for the buyers from Kuwait, which would, once again, gather military industries of Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.
