Industrial zone development in Kovin starts – Indonesians to pour EUR 9m in mushroom production

After a number of delays, on Tuesday finally, development of industrial zone in Block 119 in Kovin starts which will generate necessary prerequisites for investors in this south Banat municipality.

According to president of the municipality, Dusan Petrovic, the interested investors from Indonesia are already impatient to enter the zone with their project and investment of EUR 9m. They will get a land on 5,5 ha with the existing construction of formerly started hall in customs free zone. New 350 hires is planned.

A group of contractors from Sopot, Selakovac and Svilajnac got the work. The works value in the first stage totals some RSD 60 m and a part of the main road and horizontal road with complete infrastructure as well as two power transmission stations in charge of Elektrovojvodina which will supply public lightning and smaller consumption will be done.

Since undeveloped working zone was the main obstacle for investors for more decades, this project whose implementation has already begun is one of the capital ones. The expectations from the project are great.
