Electrical vehicle becomes remunerative after two years – How did Sasa Bjekic invent electrical cars in line with turnkey system?
The electrical engineer, Sasa Bjekic from Novi Sad, travelled 25000 km with Electrical Panda Van in five years. In his workshop, "Formico S" , he fixed his old car and got en electricity-driven one which spends 16 KWh / 100km.
- Electrical Panda Van which I have been driving for years generates big changes. In the past couple of years, I saved EUR 2800 only for fuel, not counting oil exchange or replacement of any other spare parts which must be replaced and controlled with regular cars. The car has a maximum speed of 80 km per hour and goes over 80 km in city drive with one charging – Bjekic says at the beginning of his interview for eKapija.
Our collocutor outlines the main vehicle advantage is the fact it is environmentally clean, safe, user-friendly and convenient for maintenance.
Bjekic mentions that in 1994 his father registered his first electrical car in Serbia, Elektro Moskovic. Today, at Formico S, they offer an overall fix for any electrical engine-driven car in line with the turnkey system.
Which vehicles can be fixed?
Sasa Bjekic explains any vehicle which can be driven can be fixed in an electrical car.
- All vehicles can be turned into electrical ones but it is better if they are lighter. Earlier, electrical engines and batteries were not available so we used them as for forklifts. Today, electrical engines and Li-P batteries are exported while electronics is produced in our workshop.
According to our collocutor’s estimation, if a vehicle is completely turned into an electrical car, i.e. if an electrical engine, lithium batteries and completely new electronics are installed, it is necessary to invest EUR 12000.
- This car can travel 100 km without charging. Vehicle test certificate is issued at the Faculty for mechanical engineering in Novi Sad and at the Agency for Traffic Safety. The investment pays off in two years if it travels 150 km every day which means it is the most profitable way for service and delivery vehicles.
Although this kind of a car pays off very soon, still, drivers opt for turning their cars into an electric car very difficult.
- There is huge drivers’interest to fix their cars and potential clients turn to us very often. However, it is a bit difficult when it comes to the implementation – a collocutor of eKapija says.
Electrical vessels
Novi Sad-based Formico provides electrical vessels fixes in line with the “turnkey “system.
- We started fixing tin boat, 5 m long and a yacht which sails the Danube but the investor halted the works when electrical engine should have been procured.
Sasa Bjekic has been investing for two years now in a new, modern workshop which he should open by the end of the year in Novi Sad
