TABAKOVIC: Mirabank to pour USD 5 billion

The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Jorgovanka Tabakovic, has said today that UAE-based Mirabank, after a preliminary, will get the final working permit and that the bank will pour USD 5 billion in the next three years in Serbia.

- They - have ambitious plans and are planning to pour USD 5 billion in the next three years but they are not planning operations with citizens in the first two years – Tabakovic said for journalists after the meeting with bankers and economists at the Economists’ Council of Serbia.

She outlined the Arabian bank will operate in line with Serbian rules.

The Governor said that at the moment, Mirabank is in the stage of setting up the managing board as well as that the bank’s expectations are great.

- Their expectations are great and our realistic. We will help them to adapt to this market and economy will benefit from it first.
