Concessions for cable cars in Serbia underway
On Thursday, August 28, 2014, in Zajecar, the Assistant Minister of Traffic, Construction and Infrastructure, Miodrag Jocic, with his associates presented the law on cable cars which will soon be in the assembly procedure, the site of the Zajecar municipality reports.
As Jocic explained to tourist workers from Timok, the proposed law will govern transport of people in cable cars, increase users ‘safety and protect the environment.
Apart from being aligned with the European standards, the law brings innovations as well. First of all, not only usage permit but the Decision of the Directorate for railway will be necessary and providing concessions for the construction and cable car usage.
So far, Serbia has not had similar law but the field was governed by bylaws of the Law on ski resorts.
