Bad news for nutella fans

Chocolate producers and fans of hazel nut chocolate products which include nutella, a favorite chocolate products for many, should get ready for price increase.

Namely, after bad weather destroyed hazelnut plantations in Turkey, where there is 70% of world hazelnut production, the hazel nut price increased by 60%.

Turkish industry says they will collect only 540.000 tons of hazelnut out of 800.000 tons planned.

With an increasing price of cocoa tree, producers of chocolate products are more than dissatisfied because it will undoubtedly affect their products price.

Ferrero, producer of popular chocolate and hazelnut nutella cream is one of the biggest hazelnut buyers in the world (some 25% of world stock ends with them), but so far they have not comment whether this situation and to what extent will affect nutella price, index.hr reports.
