ITG-VIG Consortium to build hall for Smederevo-based Finish PKC

Yesterday, the contract for the construction of production hall for Finish company, PKC Group, was signed yesterday with ITG-VIG consortium, it was announced at the city site.

The hall for PKC business operations occupying 20.000 square meters is located at the lot of 6 ha. Deadline for construction works completion is December 8 and the usage permit is expected four days later.

- During all this time, as of the decision of city assembly dated July 22, work dynamics was excellent. Wire fence was installed, water supply connection was installed as well as technical electricity, 29 lightning pillars were installed and reflectors will be placed soon. We should thank to all public companies and everybody who participated in the works – the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasna Avramovic, pointed out and added that it is very important this lot is declared to be a free zone for a number of tax payments it is now freed from.

- Representatives of all ministries will come to this location which once more proves how important this investment is for all citizens of Smederevo and local self-governance. Apart from that, we are happy with the fact that all the works will cost some RSD 700 mil which is some 200 mil less than planned and it will have immediate positive effects on this year’s budget – the Mayor pointed out.

Tender for selection of contractors was released in April. 8 bidders applied, one of them with incomplete documentation and 5 others were later on rejected due to high price.

- Firstly, we selected Balkan Beograd because of favorable financial offer. However, the second bidder submitted a claim and later on it turned out to be right, the commission went through documentation again and ITG – VIG was selected. Deadline for claims expired August 4, we waited for two days more in case a claim was sent via post so now officially we can declare the who the contractor is – the head of City Administration, Milijana Novakovic, said.

ITG-VIG, as today’s Politika reports, comprises ITG Smederevo, Tehnogradnja Krusevac, Vladislav Dinic construction shop VIG BT Smederevo, MPP jedinstvo AD Sevojno, Pro-aspekt Beograd and Beo potez Beograd.
