Basketball Federation of Serbia dropped out from organization of the European Championship

President of the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KKS), Dragan Djilas, announced that Serbia had given up the idea of competing for organization of the European Championship 2015.
-We have changed our minds from organizing such an event, as for hosting one group it is necessary to allocate more than 2 million EUR, and I think that sum is too much for our conditions. We have done the only possible thing at this moment, said Djilas to the news agency 'Blic'.
The Championship should have been organized in Ukraine, but due to armed conflicts this country had to drop out from EC.
France is now one of the serious candidates for organization of this event.
