Rehabilitation of Golubac Fortress to start soon

Preparatory work for the reconstruction of the fortress Golubac will begin in mid-August. By the end of the month, the tunnel will be started as well as the relocation of the highway. For this work, which should be completed by June 30, 2016, EU funds provided 6.6 million EUR.
Alongside, there will also be built a fortified coast, visitors' center, infrastructure and archaeological park, within which there will be a Turkish bath and at the end of this work will begin reconstruction of the walls and towers of the fortress.
They recently signed agreements with contractors and after obtaining bank guarantees, a long-awaited reconstruction of this great historical and architectural object will begin.
"Planum" company is hired for the road and the tunnel, while infrastructure and visitor center will be built by a consortium led by "Koto" with the company "Wetricom", for the reconstruction of the fortress will be responsible a consortium with 'Omament' at head, while the coastal fortification is given to 'Regulacija' company from Sremska Mirovica.
