Ada Bridge access roads wait for its construction by 2015 – Tenders for roads in New Belgrade are being prepared

Continued construction of the last sector of north access road to Ada Bridge, from Flea Market to Tosin bunar, will certainly wait until 2015. Who will finish this part of the inner semi ring road will be known by the end of the year. Apart from the left bank, there are also plans for projects on the right bank of the Sava river. The details on tunnel through Topcidersko Brdo will be shortly revealed, and the traffic will be direct towards Autokomanda.
Ada Bridge and its access roads are a part of the first stage of inner semi ring road construction, that should stretch from the Wholesale market to Pancevacki Bridge. In order to complete this, it is necessary to construct a 2 km section from the Flea market to Tosin bunar, valued about EUR 20 million.

A pre-qualification process for contractors for Ada Bridge access road extension, from Antifasisticke borbe Street to Tosin bunar, is in progress and in accordance with rules of European Investment Bank – say in Belgrade Directorate for Construction and Development.

Tender is opened by 1 August, and after bids are assessed there will be a qualification procedure to select an optimum contractor. Conclusion of the contract on construction works is expected at the end of the year.

However, it is necessary to remove families from unhygienic houses along the inner semi ring road in New Belgrade before the works start.
