Destiny of Slovenian company "Aha Mura" depends on Serbian partners
A bankruptcy trustee in Slovenian textile industry "Aha Mura", Stevo Radovanovic, discuss the destiny of the company with business partners and representatives of Serbian and Slovenian governments.
- All the capacities in Murska Sobota are completely busy and everything goes in accordance with bankruptcy proceedings, but we are still not sure what is going to happen with the daughter company "Prvi Maj" Pirot in Serbia, which needs to be resolved at the government level – he said for the Slovenian press.
According to Radovanovic, a healthy part of the company "Aha Mura", that employs 465 people and has enough orders till the end of the year, will be sold as a whole, and its assets are currently estimated.
- "Aha Mura" factory in Pirot manufactures a little at the moment, because it is waiting for a decision of "Hugo Boss" company. There will be lay-off in the future, because it is impossible now in order not to violate the agreement on subsidies – he said, adding that in that case there would be a deposit withdrawal.
As Radovanovic said, employment in Murska Sobota depends on "Hugo Boss".
German fashion house "Hugo Boss" required from previous owners of "Aha Mura" to buy factories in Serbia, conditioning its operations in Slovenia at the same time. The court authorized the bankruptcy trustee to sell Serbia machines which are not needed anymore in Murska Sobota, and just a government’s decision is being waited.
