Minister Bogosavljevic Boskovic said in her guest appearance on RTS that the report on damages and losses caused by floods in Serbia indicated that EUR 152 million would be needed for the rehabilitation of agriculture, while full recovery would require an investment of EUR 254 million.
She pointed out that production had been renewed at 16,000 out of 90,000 hectares of flooded land, most of which require special remediation measures.
As she added, the Serbian government has provided EUR 2.7 million for resowing activities at 16,000 hectares of agricultural land.
- We expect a yield totaling about 2 million tonnes, down about 20 percent from the previous year - she noted.
