Trial for "Port of Belgrade" sale malversation to commence – Prosecutor orders Miskovic and Beko to be deprived of RSD 1.13 billion
At the trial for "Port of Belgrade" sale malversation, starting tomorrow (Thursday, 10 July 2014), Serbian Directorate for Combating Organized Crime will state a suggestion on Milan Beko and Miroslav Miskovic, owners of "Worldfin S.A. ", to be seized a profit of RSD 1,136,211,984.
As the indictment against former Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo and seven others quotes, they have provided shares at lower price for the Luxemburg company. This purchase harmed Serbian budget by EUR 14,367,826, which is a difference between paid cost of 800 dinars and a fair value of RSD 1450.93 per share.
Bubalo is accused for "not analyzing offered price for "Port" shares purchase and analyzing of share values". According to indictment, Bubalo was informed on "expected correction of property and share fair values in notes from the "Port" on 17 June and 19 July 2005, as well as at the meetings with the representatives of the company".
As lawyer Zoran Ateljevic, a defence attorney of Bubalo, proves, he will slow down the indictment at the trial.
