Sremska Mitrovica-based car spare parts plant, Cooper Standard, opens
Today, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic and the USA ambassador in Serbia, Michael Kirby, officially opened the American car spare parts plant, Cooper Standard in Sremska Mitrovica, which will hire another 600 people by mid August.
The General Manager at Cooper Standard, Jeffrey Edwards said that the company is leading supplier in car industry, stating it currently employs 25.000 in 19 countries worldwide.
He thanked SIEPA, the Government of Serbia, Government of Vojvodina and the Mayor of Sremska Mitrovica for providing support within project implementation.
The American company for rubber and plastic car spare parts is located at 19.200 square meters of business premises and currently employs 200 people and by mid 2016, it should hire 600 people more.
The plant, whose construction started in May 2013, is located at the Industrial zone in Sremska Mitrovica.
