Eight sections to new boulevard – Construction works in Vojvode Stepe Street in Belgrade to commence in July 2014
Residents of Vozdovac will have one of the most beautiful streets in Belgrade in slightly more than a year. Belgrade and Slovenian companies will be in charge of it - JV ’’Ratko Mitrovic civil engineering’’ and ’’SZ ZGP Ljubljana’’, which will conduct reconstruction of Vojvode Stepe Street.
The deadline is in a year, while first machines go into field in a month. The construction works would be led through stages, and as Agency for Investments says the street would be divided into eight sections, which would consequently reorganize public transport. As it is previously announced, residents of Vozdovac should not worry, owing to the fact that traffic would not be suspended at any time. Instead of trams, passengers would be transported by buses in Bulevar oslobodjenja Street, Crnotrevska and Paunova Street to ’’Banjica 2’’ Terminus.
Eight bidders applied for the tender. Credit of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank will fund the project valued slightly over RSD 1.8 billion. The budget of Belgrade will allocate RSD 376 million.
Construction works will be conducted at sections: roundabout – Autokomanda, Autokomanda – Trise Kaslerovica Street, Trise Kaslerovica – Pukovnika Purica Street, pukovnika Purica – Vitanovacka Street, Vitanovacka – Niksicka Street, Niksicka - Ljube Vuckovica Street, Ljube Vuckovica Save Maskovica Street, Save Maskovica – ’’Banjica’’ Terminus.
