Floods cause EUR 40 million damages to roads in Serbia

Flood-caused damages to main and secondary routes in Serbia total EUR 40 million, Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said today, adding that the information on damages caused to local roads were not final yet.

Mihajlovic said at the opening of the First Serbian Road Congress that the plan was to repair all the flood-caused damages to road infrastructure by end-October.

She pointed out that the completion of Corridor X was a priority, adding that relevant road infrastructure projects valued at EUR 2 billion should be implemented by the end of 2016.
