Film studio of Željko Mitrović in Šimanovci to be ready for first movies already in June
In filming complex "PFI Studios", of which construction in the vicinity of Belgrade is financed by the owner of Television "Pink", Željko Mitrović, the shooting of the first movies may commence already at the beginning of June.
It was said in Mitrović's company "Pink Films International" (PFI) that the entire complex should be completed by the end of year 2007 or at the beginning of 2008, but that the shooting of movies would be enabled somewhat sooner if the two big and three small studios were builts prior to June.
"PFI Studios" is announced as one of the largest and the most modern filiming complexes in Europe. It will encompass nine big studios and related facilities, which are being built on 17 ha in the vicinity of Šimanovci.
The plan is that the complex has 42,000 square meters of built space, as well as 82,000 square meters for construction of large outdoor scenographies.
Mitrović's studio complex, however, is not the only one of the kind that is being currently built, since it has been announced that the new filming studio in Hungary will be completed by the end of year 2007. Although smaller than Mitrović's studio, the Hungarians have already declared their Studio "Korda" the largest in the world.
