Agro-mil to start building new facility in Paracin in July - Formation of new business zone for food industry in the pipeline
Agricultural company Agro-mil from Pojate is going to build a poultry slaughterhouse in Striza near Paracin, where a new industrial zone for the food industry will be opened.
This new zone will be located on the left side of the state road Paracin-Pojate, where Agro-mil has already bought a land from private owners for the future slaughterhouse that is going to employ up to 150 workers.
- Agro-mil will also finance the preparation of a comprehensive land use plan for the production zone in that location as well as strategic environmental impact assessment - said Paracin Mayor Sasa Paunovic.
He explained at a session of the City Assembly of Paracin that Agro-mil had declined to build a factory in the existing industrial zone Zmic because it was mainly occupied by companies from other industries, while they had opted for food production, meaning that Paracin would have two locations to offer to investors in the future.
This industrial zone in Striza will be exclusively intended for the food industry, that is, food production, Panovic pointed out.
Construction of the slaughterhouse is expected to commence in about 3.5 months which is approximately the time it takes to collect all the necessary documentation.
