Final construction stage of the Athlete hall in Belgrade starts in May - A total of RSD 364 mil to be invested by the end of 2015
On Friday, April 4, 2014, the Minister of Sport, Vanja Udovicic, announced that the second, final stage of the construction of the Athlete hall in Belgrade will start in May, after the conclusion of the Government about initiating that part of the project, it was announced at the site of the Government.
After visiting the construction site, Udovicic with the Minister of Defense, Nebojsa Rodic and the Secretary General of the Athlete Council of Serbia, Slobodan Brankovic, pointed out that at the moment final works of the first stage are in progress.
He pointed out that this year, Ministry of Youth and Sport set aside RSD 225 mil for this facility while it was planned to invest RSD 139 mil in 2015.
- The first athlete hall in Serbia, which is the only one in ex-Yu countries, is built at the location provided by the Ministry of Defense, while the Ministry of Youth and Sport funds the construction – Udovicic reminds.
Rodic said he expects that the new hall will be attractive both for sportsmen from neighboring countries as well as the works will end within the deadline, it was announced at the site of the Government of Serbia.
