Bosnian billionaire wants to take over Hypo Bank

Bosnian billionaire Ivan Zilic would be ready to take over Hypo Bank if Austria granted his a "dowry" of three billion euros, the daily Österreich writes in its April 4th issue. In that case, Zilic would assume all debts of the Bank.

Austrian Finance Minister Michael Spindelegger has confirmed the existence of this offer, saying that he wants to analyze it.

- We often get bids for the acquisition of Hypo, which we then examine to check seriousness and applicability - he explained.
