Reconstruction of three transmission susbstations in Serbia - Elektromreza Serbia signs agreement with ABB
For purposes of reconstruction of a relay protection and control system in certain transmission subsations, EMS and the company ABB in Serbia have entered into the valuable agreement, which shall be financed from the funds of the loan granted by the European Investment Bank (Package 4 – Lot 3), ABB said in a release.
The Contract provides for the reconstruction of three substations: TS Bajina Basta (220/35 kV), TS Krusevac 1 (200/110/35 kV) and TS Smederevo 3 (400/220/110 kV). The relay protection and control cabinets and MicroSCADA control systems, including the training and factory acceptance tests (FAT) are the scope of delivery in this project.
With regard to its value, this Contract is the most significant and the biggest one ever signed by the company ABB Serbia. The project shall be implemented in cooperation with the branches of the company ABB in Croatia and Switzerland, as well as with a local partner, the company ELNOS, and shall last for seven months, the release reads.
Within the scope of implementation of the subject project, the engineering staff of the company EMS participated in the training during February and March 2014. The training for MicroSCADA control system was realized in duration of three weeks in the ABB’s factory in Vaasa (Finland), while the training for the relay protection devices in duration of four weeks was realized in the ABB’s factory in Vasteras (Sweden).
Both trainings were performed in accordance with the highest standards of ABB and to the great satisfaction of all participants, which shall undoubtedly contribute to better understanding of the specific devices and solutions offered by ABB and their successful implementation in the above project.
