Beohemija bankruptcy hearing postponed
A hearing at the Zrenjanin Commercial Court scheduled for Monday, which was to focus on the commencement of bankruptcy proceedings according to the previously prepared reorganization plan for Zrenjanin-based Beohemija Inhem factory, has been postponed. This reorganization was proposed by the factory management, who had been given 20 days by bankruptcy judge Milan Pajtasev to amend the plan they had submitted.
Lawyer Igor Isailovic, the attorney of the proposing party, told the press that the reorganization plan would solve the problem of the Beohemija group, adding that the aim was to free that company holding a market share of 30 percent in Serbia from all problems.
- I expect a final version of the reorganization plan for all four Beohemija subsidiaries to be ready within the next month - Isailovic said and added that the biggest creditor was the trade union of five banks, one of which was the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
A new bankruptcy hearing will be scheduled later.
