"Greenfield" investments in Serbia - who, how and where?
Former and current ministries in the Government of Serbia, the representatives of international financial institutions, the manager of companies and domestic experts will take part in the meeting that is organized today (January 11, 2007) by the Foreign Investors Council. The topic of the meeting is "Foreign Direct Investments: World/Regional Trends and Recommendations for Serbia".
On that occasion, Professor Louis Wells from the Harvard Business School will present his estimates about previous activities of Serbia on attracting direct foreign investments. The report will also be presented by the permanent representative of the United Nations Development Plan (UNDP) Lence Clark.
It is also expected that the following persons will attend the meeting: Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo, Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodić, Minister of Energy Radomir Naumov, Governor of NBS Radovan Jelašić, Secretary-General of the Association of Banks of Serbia Veroljub Dugalić, former ministers of finance Mlađan Dinkić and Božidar Đelić and former Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of Serbia Miroljub Labus.
It was also announced that the Ambassador of USA to Serbia, Michael Polt, the Manager of the European Bank for Renovation and DEvelopment to Serbia, Dragica Pilipović-Ćefi, the Head of the Belgrade office of the World Bank, Karolin Jugr, and the Head of the delegation of European Commission to Belgrade, Žozef Ljoveras, will attend the meeting.
