Tenders for Prokop submitted by three domestic companies: Bauwesen, Sitimont and Energoprojekt

Bids for the completion of the future main railway station Beograd centar (Prokop) have been submitted by three domestic companies. An agreement with the most favorable bidder hould be signed by March 25, Serbian Railways CEO Dragoljub Simonovic told Tanjug news agency Friday (28 February 2014).
- The bids have come from Bauwesen Lazarevac, Zemun-based Sitimont, and a consortium made up of three Energoprojekt subsidiaries: Energoprojekt Niskogradnja, Energoprojekt Visokogradnja and Energoprojekt Oprema - Simonovic said after opening the bids on Friday.

- Works on Prokop should commence early April, and the Serbian railway company is ready to start the implementation of that project right away - said Simonovic. He added that the exact work commencement date would depend on the readiness of the selected contractor.

The deadline to submit bids for the first phase of works on the railway station Beograd centar expired Friday. As it was announced earlier, the pre-tender meeting was attended by the representatives of 30 interested companies.

This project will be financed with the proceeds of a EUR 26 million loan extended by the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development.
