"Veni, vino, vici" - Serbia and Bulgaria to make Vidin-Negotin-Knjazevac-Kladovo wine route their new brand

The Regional Development Agency of Eastern Serbia (RARIS) has launched the "Veni, vino, vici" project that will also be implemented in the territory of the Negotin municipality. This EUR 121,000 project is financed with the proceeds of the Bulgaria-Serbia IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program. The "Veni, vino, vici" project is expected to contribute to better valorization of the Negotin vineyards on the tourist map of Serbia as well as to better positioning of wines from Negotin on the market, it was announced on the municipal website.
One of the project activities will be the preparation of study on the branding of new wine route - Vidin, Negotin, Knjazevac and Kladovo, which will provide this increasingly popular form of tourism with an international aspect.

The general objective of this project is joint development and promotion of cross-border tourism on the basis of sustainable use of resources. This project also calls for the formation and equipping of cross-border wine museum within the Homeland Museum in Knjazevac.

- The project will cover 25 wine makers, six of which are based in Bulgaria and 19 are from Serbia - the release on the municipal website reads.
