Interex has now been working for ten years in Serbia. With buildings in Čačak, Belgrade, Niš, Obrenovac, Zaječar, Šabac and Valjevo, and plans to open new sales points in 2014, writes the newspaper Voice of Čačak.
“We definitely have plans to expand on the Serbian market”, says Aleksandar Krstić, director of Čačak and Valjevo branches. “There is room for development in the towns we already serve, especially Belgrade where we still have only two buildings and really need at least two or three more to cover the whole city. In Niš we need at least one more. We also plan to cover Sremska Mitrovica where we now have a building almost finished. Our plans also cover taking the market in Kula and Kruševac. Our development schedule has been adjusted a bit because of the crisis. We want to develop methodically so that in due time, perhaps five years, we have twenty buildings in Serbia”.
The director points out that in ten years of work, Interex has succeeded in establishing a loyal group of customers who recognise its willingness to meet their needs, offering a broad selection at low prices.
Consumers have also come to trust the quality of brands such as Labell, Netto, Top Budget, Bouton d’Or, Fiorini, Ivoria, Planteur, Apta and Ecauto, that are produced in France to European standards and offered at prices adapted to the domestic market.
“The brand production chain is especially developed in France and Poland. We keep an enormous number of articles, around 3,000, that cover some of our needs. But the Serbian sweets industry is really strong. We aim to use these advantages, especially in the field of fresh and dried products, and develop our brands through agreements with local producers. We would employ local workers and bring our products directly to consumers through Interex. There are already some seventy articles produced in Serbia. Since November 2013 we have had a new commercial director, Vassantea Monanya, who will deploy his twenty-year international experience to drive development, progress and an improved market position for Interex in Serbia”, declares Aleksandar Krstić in an interview with the newspaper Čačanski List.
