Ljiljana Kovacevic to manage Tax Administration

At its session on Tuesday, the Serbian government appointed Ljiljana Kovacevic as temporary director of the Tax Administration and Miodrag Pavicevic as her deputy, the Tax Administration said in a release.

Ljiljana Kovacevic is a permanent employee of the Tax Administration since 1999. She's been taking up managerial positions in the Tax Administration since 2001 and was appointed as the deputy director of the Tax Administration - director of the Center for Big Tax Payers - in 2004. Over the last two years she has also been performing the duties of the director of the Tax Administration. Her work at the Center for Big Tax Payers has been rated by the IMF as an example of best international practice.

Miodrag Pavicevic has been working at the Tax Administration for thirty years. In the period between 2002 and 2004, Pavicevic was assistant to the director of the Tax Administration - director of the Center for Big Tax Payers. After that he was appointed as assistant director – director of the Regional Center Beograd, and then as assistant director of the Tax Administration - director of the Sector for Tax and Legal Affairs in the Tax Administration HQ. In 2010 he assumed the position of coordinator at the Center for Big Tax Payers.
