RADULOVIC: Registration of offshore companies in Serbia mandatory

Serbian Economy Minister Sasa Radulovic pointed out Friday (10 January 2014) that offshore companies, that is, those registered in tax heavens, represented a big problem in Serbia's economic system, adding that their full registration was a must.

- All offshore companies operating in Serbia need to be registered so everybody could know who there owners are - Radulovic told a press conference.

The economy minister explained that such companies were usually owned by the citizens of Serbia, stressing that the information on the ownership of offshore companies must be provided in line with the Anti Money Laundering Law.
