Skopje invests EUR 1 billion in road network
Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski says that more than EUR 1 billion will be invested in the construction and reconstruction of roads in that country.
We're going to invest over 1 billion euros in the construction and reconstruction of local and regional roads in Macedonia as well as in the construction of three highway stretches, PM Gruevski announced.
According to the web portal 24vesto.mk, Gruevski noted that new roads would improve the safety of passengers and make the transport of goods easier by connecting Skopje with eastern and western parts of the country, which he said was good because it would promote Macedonia as a transit country between Europe and Asia.
He also stressed that about EUR 87 million would be spent on the reconstruction, expansion and modernization of two airports in Macedonia.
