Turnover at BSE increased by 20% in 2013
The total turnover on BSE in 2013, amounted to about 265 million euros, which is 20% more than the year before, said director of the Stock Exchange Gordana Dostanić, but she also estimated it was not enough for recovery of the Serbian capital market.
- Turnover structure indicates underdevelopment of the capital market, because it is still traded only in basic financial instruments, predominantly in shares, in as much as 95% of total turnover - she said to Beta news agency.
According to her words, the average daily turnover this year was around one million euros, while in 2008, the daily turnover was more than EUR 3 million.
She reminded that the state missed the opportunity to make the way for the development of capital market, intentionally or accidentally, with selection of privatization model.
