Serbian businessman Dragan Solak has bought two golf courses in Slovenia, a source familiar with the situation confirmed to the web portal Seebiz.
He acquired these golf courses situated in Moravske Toplice and Bled from Sava Resort. It is speculated that Solak paid these two courses nearly EUR 12 million through the official buyer - the Eligo consortium. Besides, Solak also promised to make additional investments. It is well known that the Sava holding has financial problems and that it was announced a long time ago that the company wanted to sell part of its operations. Negotiations with Solak that went on for several months were ended last week in an agreement.

According to Seebiz, Solak is also interested in buying a golf course in Mokrice, Slovenia as well as those in Croatia. He is currently eyeing several courses in Istra.

Dragan Solak has recently sold the SBB-Telemach Group to the US fund Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, and it is speculated that the selling price was at EUR 1 billion, Seebiz reports.
