20m EUR to be invested in textile industry "Leteks" Leskovac within following 12 months

Textile Industry "Leteks" Leskovac has recently been sold on the auction to Zorica Gajić (the owner of company Prime wool from Sydney) for 39.8m RSD.

Stanimir Petrović, general manager of "Leteks", announced that he had agreed with Mrs. Gajić on investment in amount of 20m EUR in 2007. For the operations by modern world standards, "Crvena Zvezda" unit will be prepared, in which 5m EUR will be invested, so that the conditions could be created for the production of the most quality semi-finished products, along with the opening of the laboratory for control of quality of raw materials and ready-made products.

Renovation of "Leteks" will be carried out in three phases. The first phase should create conditions for production of yarn of high numbering, which will be followed by renovation of spinning mill, textile factory and finishing unit. In the third phase, Leteks will be producing ready-made clothing.
