Australian bans solariums to prevent skin cancer
Australia is the first country in the world to place a ban on commercial use of solariums in order to reduce skin cancer deaths.
This decision was made after federal states New South Walles, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, etc., had taken all steps to reduce or ban the use of solariums, the Clixx web portal reports.
A survey has showed that people who have used a solarium even for a short time are 20 percent more prone to getting melanoma later in their life than those who have never used it.
