Solar park building in Kladovo is moving ahead - "Solaris Energy" to set up panels by the end of October
Solar park building in Kladovo is progressing well, writes “Danas”. As contractors have finished rough ground works, works have started on the surface of 2.5 hectares at an accelerated pace this October.
A 2 megawatt power station is under construction at the moment. Also, 1,200 columns for mounting horizontal and vertical frames on which 4,160 photovoltaic panels of 1.6 square meters with individual power of 245 watts will be installed. The next phase is installation of aluminium holders, and afterwards installation of solar panels that are to be set up by the end of October, said the director of “Solaris Energy” Miloš Kostić to the press. The value of this investment is 1.7 million Euros, and investors compliment the local self-government for supporting the realisation of this project and for recognising the importance of investing into renewable energy by facilitating the building permit issuing process to this company and other investors, all in compliance with the law.
– We also tried with other municipalities but we saw that they were not ready for modern projects such as building solar power plants. Apart from the fact that the municipality helped us in quickening the procedure of obtaining approvals and permits needed for building, it also stayed with us in the building process. We have engaged local companies to implement safety measures for workers and we were helped by the municipal administration in inspection and supervision needed for successful building site management – said Miloš Kostić.
Head of the municipal administration Jovan Stingić reminded the press that Kladovo represented a „boom“ in collective residential building a couple of years ago, when the local self-government issued building permits for eight buildings with around 400 apartments and/with over 23,000 square meters. He also said that a couple of days ago a building permit was also issued quickly and efficiently for building a pellet factory in Kladovo.
– We do not discriminate or favour, we treat equally investors from Kladovo and outside Kladovo. When a potential investor comes, we try to act as partners, not as someone who would prevent the investor from acquiring building permits and thus discourage him from investing – explained Stingić.
Regarding the solar power plant, persons in charge say that the end of installing the first part of three solar blocks depends on the weather. According to the plan, the photovoltaic panels should be set up in two weeks, which means that the solar block would be in operation as of mid-November.
