Representatives of U.S. IT giant EMC coming to Belgrade
Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic will recieve the representatives of the U.S. information and communications technology (ICT) company EMC on Monday, September 23rd.
The meeting will be held in the Serbian government, the government's Media Relations Office said in a release.
EMC was established in 1979 in Massachusets and is one of the largest ICT companies in the world. It opened an office in Serbia six years ago. EMC is the most famous for its data storage devices.
Over the past 15 years, this company has been expanding its portfolio to include the backup of computer data, their archiving, security, virtualization, management of electronic documents...
EMC's clients in Serbia are almost all banks, insurance companies, mobile telephony and cable television operators, as well as numerous government institutions.
According to EMC's global report, the amount of data stored on computers and the Internet will grow 44 times bigger by 2020.
