Pirot gets 3D cinema by year's end - Soon tender for equipment supply

Pirot's only movie theater in the Cultural Center will be completely renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art digital projectors by the year's end.

- It will be possible to show 3D movies in this cinema that will be fit-out with a brand new sound system, lighting, chairs and stage - said Misko Ciric, director of the Cultural Center of Pirot.

- Ongoing construction works are valued at about EUR 67,000. We expect them to be finished by mid-October. After that, we should receive a modern equipment for the theater, including a new digital projector that can show 3D movies, 400 pairs of glass for 3D movies, new lighting and sound systems, and much more - he said.

- We expect a tender to be announced for the supply of equipment from abroad, but despite the complex administrative procedure, everything should be finished by the year's end. The value of this equipment is around EUR 90,000 - said Ciric.

Funding for the cinema renovation project has been provided from the EU fund for Serbia-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Program.
