Despite plans, Etihad fails to take over management of new Serbian flag carrier on September 1st
Although it was announced earlier that the management of Etihad should take over the management of Serbia's new flag carrier on September 1st, that did not happen.
As Jat Airways Acting Director General Velibor Vukasinovic explained, that will not happen until all regulatory conditions and obligations are met.
- It did not happen on September 1st because it is necessary to first meet all regulatory conditions. When this will happen, in three, four or five days, is still unknown - Vukasinovic told Tanjug news agency.
Etihad announced in a release two weeks ago that the agreement on the management of Air Serbia would become effective after regulatory approvals.
The planned date is September 1st, but everything depends on regulatory bodies that should have given their consent by that date, the release issued by Etihad reads.
