Starting from that, the Special hospital for rehabilitation Junakovic Apatin fulfills all conditions for the change of the indication area to neurological diseases as wll and thus to the increase in the number of beds from 60 to 140. Increase in capacities in Vrdnik-based Termal from 70 to 130 beds for cardiology rehabilitation is also proposed.
According to relevant data, the number of the hospitalized patients suffering from heart and coronary diseases has been increasing during the past five years. In 2006, in hospitals in Vojvodina, 5.910 were treated while in 2010, the number increased to 7.155 patients. Therefore, the need for rehabilitation of these patients is more essential.
