Police investigate privatization of Vrsacki Vinogradi
Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic has ordered the Task Force of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Police to investigate the sale of property of Serbia's Vrsacki Vinogradi winemaker. Dacic told Tanjug news agency that he had forwarded the Anti-Corruption Council's report of on the sale of Vrsacki Vinogradi to the Ministry of Police, adding that report contained serious objections that required immediate verification.
The report contains allegations claiming that the Privatization Agency caused serious damage to the state and the company in question, Dacic noted.
The auction for the sale of Vrsacki Vinogradi was held in late July, when the Chinese consortium Guan Nan purchased the company for approximately €5.3 million - in the third round of bidding, which is 30 percent of its market value.
