Vrsac starts building Business Incubator Center - Invitation to Bid for office space renovation open by October 15

The municipality of Vrsac invited bids Wednesday for the renovation of office space where Business Incubator Center (BIC) will be situated.

Tender documentation can be downloaded from www.vrsac.com and the website of the project "Support to SMEs through Development of E-Operations Infrastructure in Timis County and Neighboring Serbian County" - www.smessupport.com, while the Invitation to Bid is published in the daily newspaper Danas, it was announced on the municipal website.

Deadline to submit bids is 10 AM on 15 October 2013. All additional information or clarifications/questions will be published at the website of the Vrsac municipality - www.vrsac.com. Works will be carried with the financial assistance from the Romania-Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program.

Aforementioned SMEs Support Project worth EUR 1.791 million is being implemented by Vrsac and Timisoara-based ADETIM under the Romania-Serbia IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program. The municipality of Vrsac will build the Business Incubator Center (BIC) within its Technology Park in a year and half.

An 1,000-square-meter old storage space owned by the Vrsac municipality will be turned into 8 new production modules (ranging in size between 60 and 150 square meters). The Business Incubator Center will allow for the development of both start-up and established companies that will be financially sustainable and independent once they leave the program.

Vrsac is a leader among Serbian municipalities in attracting money from European funds. As eKapija wrote before, among the projects they intend to implement in this way are also the construction of a logistics center and the renovation of the city market.

By the way, the first contract for the logistics center project was signed July 2013.
