Leskovac-based Jugprom will purchase about 16,000 tonnes of various fruits and vegetables this year with the value of its exports set to exceed EUR 10 million, said Jugprom Director Gordana Jovanovic.

According to the official website of the City of Leskovac, thanks to last year's adaptation of the cold storage plant Ulpina with a storage capacity of 4,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, Jugprom became a company with the largest storage capacity in Serbia with its total capacity exceeding 10,000 tonnes.

In addition, this company owns 50 hectares of cherry orchards and plans to expand the capacity. Jugprom employs over 500 people.

- We mainly export our products to the European Union and Russia - Ms. Jovanovic pointed out.

Jugprom's owner Slobodan Stojanovic stressed that the company had been operating for more than 20 years, adding that their plans are big. The company's wish is to improve production and expand the market.
