Top 15 exporters in Serbia
Serbia's Finance and Economy Ministry announced Sunday (4 August 2013) a list of top 15 exporters in Serbia, which is topped by Fiat Automobili Srbija that has registered an EUR 839.6 million revenue from exports since the beginning of the year.
According to a release issued by aforementioned ministry, Serbia has achieved economic growth based on exports for the first time ever.
- Serbian exports grew over 20 percent in the first half of this year, picking up from only 0.6 percent in the same period last year. It is a huge difference and the result is obvious, so we can rightfully say that export has finally become an important pillar of Serbia's economy - said Finance Minister Mladjan Dinkic.
Dinkic pointed out that 10 out of the top 15 exporters on this list had received support from the state.
He noted that the state should continue to grant incentives, stressing that the implementation of large investments that should bring high export revenues to the country took time and patience.
The list of top exporters in the period January-July 2013 is as follows: FAS, the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) - EUR 153.4 million, Pirot-based Tigar Tyres - EUR 139.9 million, HIP Petrohemija Pancevo - EUR 122.9 million, Hemofarm - EUR 88 million, Gorenje Valjevo and Stara Pazova - EUR 75.1 million, RTB Bor - EUR 73.9 million, Ball Packaging Europe - EUR 72.1 million, Tarkett from Backa Palanka - EUR 70.6 million, Yura Raca, Niš and Leskovac - EUR 65.1 million, Impol Seval - EUR 59.9 million, Golden Lady from Belosevac - EUR 57.2 million, Tetra Pak from Belgrade - EUR 54.8 million, Sirmium Steel from Sremska Mitrovica - EUR 54.1 million, and Leoni Prokuplje - EUR 50.2 million.
